These Terms govern your access to and use of substellar.io, including gameplay, voice/video chat, facial landmarks processing, and messaging. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
You must be of legal age in your jurisdiction or have verifiable parental consent to use certain features.
No harassment, illegal content, cheating, exploiting, or unauthorized commercial use. We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations.
We grant you a limited, revocable, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. All game content — including design, artwork, 3D models, audio, code, and trademarks — is owned by Animera AS (Org. no. 917604924, Norway) or our licensors. You may not copy, extract, reverse engineer, or redistribute any part of the Service or its assets without our written permission. To report infringement or request permission, contact hello@substellar.io.
You are responsible for content you share. You grant us a limited license to host and transmit it for the purpose of operating the Service.
The Service offers optional video, audio, and facial landmark features for real-time communication and avatar animation. These features are never active by default. Each requires your separate, explicit consent before activation via an in-game consent prompt.
Peer-to-peer connections: Video, audio, and landmark data are transmitted directly between players using WebRTC. This means your IP address may be visible to other players in your session. We use a relay server (TURN) when direct connections fail, but cannot guarantee that your IP address will never be exposed to other participants.
Consent and revocation: You can revoke consent for any of these features at any time via the Settings menu in-game. Revoking consent immediately disables the feature and stops all associated data capture and transmission. You may also need to separately manage browser-level device permissions for your camera and microphone.
Features may be region- or age-restricted. For full details on how data from these features is processed, see our Privacy Policy.
The Service is provided “as is.” To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties and limit liability.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will prompt re-consent in-app.
